Official Invitation from Belarus:

For a stay of more than 30 days, an original or a copy of a letter of invitation from an agency, company or organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is registered as a legal entity by the Belarusian authorities, plus one copy. A letter of invitation should be printed on the official letterhead with a registration number, date of issue, and should bear the signature of an official and a corporate seal. It should also indicate the expected duration of the applicant's stay in Belarus. An inviting party must provide written guarantees that an invitee will abide by the rules and regulations applied to foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus. Multiple Entry requests require confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Medical Requirements:

Proof of valid medical insurance coverage in Belarus, such as a copy of the insurance agreement or policy. Documentation must:
- have the name, address and phone number of the insurance company
- clearly state coverage in Belarus
- be valid for the entire duration of stay in Belarus
- minimum coverage of 10,000 Euros (approximately 13,500 USD)
Please note: keep an additional copy of medical insurance documentation, which must also be carried by the traveler during travel to Belarus.

Special Instructions:

Travelers must register passport with the local Passport and Visa Office of the Ministry of Interior within 3 business days of arrival to Belarus. If staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services (reception bureau).

The inviting person's first and last names and home address must be indicated in the visa application form. For a stay of up to 30 days, no invitation is necessary. For a stay of more than 30 days, an original (not a copy) invitation is required. The host in Belarus should obtain the invitation ("zaprashenne")at the local passport and visa office of the Ministry of Interior and send it to the applicant. In case of emergency (unexpected illness, death of the relative, etc.) visas can be issued upon submitting a certified cable from a doctor or a clinic in Belarus.

Medical Requirements:

Valid health/accidental/repatriation insurance with full international coverage. A letter from applicant's insurance company (original or copy) is required. This letter should contain the following information:

  • Name, address and phone number of the insurance company;
  • Full name of the policy holder;
  • Insurance policy number;
  • Insurance territorial coverage (should be valid in Belarus or worldwide);
  • Insurance term of validity (should be valid through the period of the travel or temporary residence in Belarus);
  • Amount of emergency medical coverage (should not be less than 10 000 Euro ~ 13 500 US Dollars).
Note: A photocopy of insurance card will not be sufficient enough to meet the above requirements.

Applicants who have USSR or Belarusian roots must provide official documents proving that they do not possess Belarusian citizenship.
